17247395_fb535133c1Looks like some experts and the NY Times agree, that my theory of social media being driven almost completely by validation, is in fact valid. No brain surgery that concept, but at least I can keep beating that drum with a little more validity.

That feedback loop of positive reinforcement is the most addictive element of social media. All those retweets, likes and favorites give us a little jolt, a little boost that pushes us to keep coming back for more.
