Elegant, Simple, Beautiful, Communicative, Home Page In Flash – Nice

This is one of the better uses of imagery and even Flash(of which I am not usually a big fan), I have seen on the home page of a web site. Reed Shay is an executive recruitment company. They provide recruiting to some of the biggest companies in the Internet space and the images on their home page tell you that and make it perfectly clear that you will be dealing with the very best when you deal with them. Simply and clearly, you understand they are Reed and Shay.

             

They follow that with a fantastic use of testimonial and huge names in the industry saying they are the best recruiters that ever lived with an interface that is instantly easy to understand and use.

I am still not a big fan of all Flash interfaces, but I really do like this site.

    I haven't done much with flash, other than a few intro pages that people asked for. Those sites have some pretty amazing stuff on them.

  • Flash websites certainly are much capable of attracting a lot of traffic but then its not applicable everywhere. And also these websites could make your task on SEO a little difficult.

  • flash website is worth if they can attract a lot of people who like a flash website. but if we do some over flashing who want to visit flash site again with lot of bling bling in the site?
  • Flash websites are good to see but it is very hard to do SEO for these websites what do you say?
  • Actually, a part the homepage, the whole website, including effects, could be easealy done in pure html+javascript.

    Moreover about the home page.. it probably give good ideas of how good they are only if you know the people displayed.. if you don't they are just an useless sequence of unknown people. A small text like "CEO of BigCompany" would surely help there.

  • You are correct about the Flash work being done in Java script and I would definitely prefer that.

    Their target audience is very likely to know who those folks are, so not such a big deal, but it would make sense to list in case they do.
